Mucho gusto!

I discovered my passion for photography while studying for my Bachelor of Psychology at Portland State University (grad of 2016!), and it didn't take long before I realized that photography made me feel a way I had never felt before. I had found my life's calling.

My brand and moniker Photo Bruja was born out of a convergence of my own spiritual journey and my photography career; I recognized the healing magic of both brujeria (Mexican witchcraft) and photography and wanted to combine their powers and share them with the world. 

My work is about representation, empowerment, visibility, destigmatizing and reclaiming sexuality, dismantling the patriarchy, uplifting Black and Brown humans, giving a middle finger to western beauty standards, and so much more.  I am incredibly passionate about capturing the vast expansiveness of femininity and also absolutely addicted to the thrill of documenting other artists channeling their magic onstage. 

I've been shooting professionally for 8 years now and know beyond a doubt that this is my what I was born to do. Let me share my magic with you ✨
